Jeremiah Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary was originally written in the key of D Major. The present transcription maintains the integrity of the original key in order to preserver the bright, festive sound of the work. Although the notation specifies two D trumpets, the work is best performed on piccolo trumpets. This arrangement can be performed with organ, using any of the standard organ editions.
