A three movement piece that involves interesting interplay between the tuba and piano . The first movement is fast with alternating time signatures. The tuba part is melodic with many punctuated quartal chords in the piano part. The second movement is slow and lyrical with alternating meters. The last movement is fast with a driving rhythm in both parts.
