An original composition in three short movements for Bb trumpet, horn, and trombone. The first movement resembles a short toccata, the second creates a full luxurious texture that implies a much larger instrumentation and the third movement is Stravinskyesque in nature with a dry, brittle rhythmic drive. Wolking is professor of music at the University of Utah where he teaches and composes in both jazz and classical veins. "the very best music....great stuff for three exceptional players."
