Arthur Frackenpohl, in addition to writing many fine works for brass and the textbook Harmonization at the Piano, also wrote and arranged many works for keyboard ensembles. He adapted the arrangement from the Great Fugue to be used in his classes. These works help pianists become familiar with the fugues before working on them in the solo version. These are excellent for developing rhythmic and listening skills. Great for adult students who may not be able to tackle these pieces in their solo form. Full score and parts are included with each selection.This is a great selection for an ensemble concert-very impressive.
