This Concerto is intended to be a companion piece to the famous Johann Altenburg work of the same name published in 1795. The first movement is a combination and expansion of four Sonatas by Hendrick Lubeck (16th-17th century), the second movement contains romantic lines and dramatic gestures and the finale is a light-hearted perpetual motion piece.
